I call myself a personal ghostwriter and a self-expression coach. I help people figure out who they are and what they want to say. Then I help them say it.
My specialty is the complicated personal stuff that's hard to see clearly on your own — wedding vows, dating profiles, and professional positioning such as bios and artist statements.
I can help you clear the mental clutter, speak from the heart, and tell the world who you are.
‘About Me’ pages • Wedding vows • Hinge profiles • Public speaking coaching • LinkedIn headlines • Personal stories for The Moth • Anything important and personal • Mission statements • Comedy open mics • Wedding speeches • Personal values statements • Founder pitches • Eulogies • Artist statements • Social media announcements
I’m an experienced writer, businessperson, speaker, performer, educator, and coach, but most importantly, I’m a sneakily good listener. I find what's special about you, efficiently and without judgment, and then I help you see it too. Together, we crystallize what you’re trying to say into precise words and then share those words with the world.
Let’s find the intersection of authenticity and appeal.
Sometimes finding the right words feels impossible. Maybe you’ve tried on your own, or “collaborated” with AI, but what you have so far sounds generic, lacks zhuzh, or is just off in a way you can’t pinpoint.
This is where I come in: I take your jumbled brain-dump and turn it into something clear, appealing, and non-cringey.
And miraculously, it’s not a painful process. You’ll probably even enjoy it.
What I deliver is more than just the words: it’s confidence, self-assurance, and a whole new level of self-awareness. It’s feeling seen, without discomfort or pretense, and then expressing that self externally.
Throughout our work, I’ll bring a combo of rigor and levity. I’ll obsess over the details so you don’t have to. I’ll never run out of empathy. We’ll laugh, even when we’re stuck — or especially when we’re stuck.
We’ll be in it together.

Professional Positioning
Imagine lighting up every time someone asks, “So, what do you do?”
How you talk about what you do is often (strangely, annoyingly) more important to the outside world than the quality of your work. I’ve made it my mission to elevate the people who walk the walk but who tend to undersell themselves. Together, we can uncover who you are, what you offer, and what you uniquely need for aligned and inspired work (and life).
Maybe you have an idiosyncratic, multifaceted identity, or maybe you’re going through a professional transition and it’s time to take a step back. Wherever you’re at, let’s finally properly express who you are and what you do these days.

AI can be a great resource, but not if you can’t clearly define the problem. Narie always knows the right questions to ask, quickly turning my jumbled ideas into a crisp service offering. I exit every session with clarity, confidence, and excitement about next steps. Somehow, the conversation is fun, too.
Narie finds the signal in the noise in my head, both what I’m saying and what I’m not saying, and then channels that into words. She’s simultaneously macro and micro; she works at a high level, and she’s also down to get hands-on in a Google Doc to find the exact words. I finally had forward momentum on a thing I’ve been stuck on for a while.
Narie’s worn all the hats, so she already understands your context. She’s then very good at quickly understanding you and how you fit (or want to fit) in that context.
I’d recommend Narie to anyone feeling stuck, who needs a bridge between their thoughts and the English language, or who knows they need to do some reflective work to take the next step in their business, and needs a guide.”

She has the patience, presence, and genuine curiosity to sincerely listen when you speak, an experience that puts into relief its rarity with each conversation. Whenever we talk, not only do I feel uniquely seen, heard, and understood, but I also feel like I hear myself in a new way — through her reflections, my own voice becomes clearer. Her keen listening skills somehow metabolize my stream-of-consciousness rants and repeat them back to me in cogent, often poetic (but never cheesy) prose. Her sharp humor and wit allow her to distill the big, complex stuff of life that's often difficult to articulate into the exact words that are needed to convey what you truly mean, no more and no less. It's a superpower and a profound gift to all those who enter into her orbit. I'd trust her with anything.

She’s able to help you see and embrace the tough “thing” you’re trying to tackle. After any conversation with Narie, you’ll walk away grounded yet empowered to make that next move with confidence and conviction that you’re about to show the world that special little nugget that makes you sparkle.”

Personal Speeches
I can help you find the compelling story, speak from the heart, sprinkle in humor, and practice until you’re confident.
Maybe it’s a professional talk that you want to make more personal. Maybe it’s a story you’ve always wanted to tell for The Moth, or your first stand-up comedy open mic.
Maybe you’re interested in wedding vows that will blow away your partner and your guests, maximizing uniqueness and meaning while minimizing stress. I also do wedding speech wrangling, including editing support for your family and friends, management of timing and order, and ‘cringe’ reduction. I particularly love helping people express love.
From writing support to public speaking coaching, I’ve got you covered!

She navigated our disagreements (yes, we had them) with such humor and skill that working on our vows became the most fun part of wedding planning. Narie has this rare ability to ask exactly the right question at exactly the right moment to pull out what you need to say, then she helps you say it perfectly. If you want someone who can help you craft a narrative that truly captures your story, heart, and mind, while making the process genuinely enjoyable, I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

Our family and friends were blown away — I can’t count how many told me that ours were the best they’d ever heard. We would’ve never been able to do it without Narie.”

But from our very first session, Narie asked such thoughtful, on-point questions and helped us organize our scattered thoughts and find the moments that best defined us. Most special of all, Narie coordinated both of our vows without either of us knowing what the other would say, preserving that beautiful element of surprise.
In the midst of wedding planning overwhelm, I genuinely looked forward to our sessions: they were energizing, emotional, and filled with laughter. Narie has this incredible knack for drawing gold out of ordinary stories. She took our jumbled memories and feelings and helped shape them into something meaningful and heartfelt, all while keeping our authentic voices at the center. Her writing suggestions and guidance enabled us to express ourselves in a way that felt genuinely like us — just elevated with sprinkles of her writing magic.
The result? Sharing our vows became our absolute favorite part of our wedding. What we thought might be nerve-wracking turned into the most memorable and emotional moment — not just for us, but for our families and friends too. Vow writing is such a deeply personal process, and Narie was the perfect person to help us connect the dots in a safe space filled with humor, fun, trust, and genuine care. We now have something we'll cherish for life. Forever grateful!”

The idea of writing vows felt overwhelming at first, but Narie managed to turn it into an experience that felt natural, comfortable, and even exciting.
One of the things that helped me most was the structure she created. I had no idea where to begin or how to organize all the emotions and memories I wanted to share. Narie guided me step by step, helping me shape my thoughts into a clear, coherent flow that still felt deeply personal. She knew exactly how to draw out the important parts, connect them, and craft a narrative that sounded like me.
She also created a space where I felt completely at ease. Through her thoughtful questions and gentle guidance, she helped me express feelings I usually have a hard time putting into words. Nothing ever felt forced or awkward. Instead, she helped me discover what I truly wanted to say.
The final vows were something I was incredibly proud of. On the wedding day, speaking the vows was one of the most emotional and unforgettable moments — not just for me, but for everyone who was there. It’s a moment I’ll carry with me forever.
I recommend Narie to anyone who wants vows that are heartfelt, honest, and beautifully structured, and especially those who feel shy or intimidated by the idea of expressing themselves. She has a remarkable gift for turning a daunting task into one of the most meaningful parts of the entire wedding journey.”

Dating Profiles
I’ll make you a dating profile that feels like you and attracts the people you want.
We can hate on them, but dating apps are still one of the best ways to meet people. Yet most people are dreadful at representing themselves authentically and appealingly — and, I’m sorry to say, your friends most likely have terrible advice.
Let me do the hard part for you: I’ll make you a Hinge profile that reflects you, specifically, and attracts the people you want.
I also offer dating coaching to help with momentum from there. Dating can be messy and confronting, but you don’t have to do it alone.

It felt good to be the focus (like in therapy or a massage), and somehow without making me feel self-centered or narcissistic. It was like “We have a task: to understand who you are, what you like, and how you want to be seen and represented in the world, and we are going to achieve that.”
Narie’s questions and responses made it special — I didn’t feel judged, and I felt like I could be honest. Narie picked up on small details that helped clarify for me what I like and what I’m looking for, and also what I am or am not representing when I write certain things or show certain things in photos.
Narie made me feel super comfortable opening up. She’s good at asking the right questions to get info about things that I wouldn’t have thought to volunteer or maybe even felt comfortable sharing. She was then particularly good at putting all that together into a package/profile. I felt great about the final product and what was achieved in such a short time frame. I would recommend Narie to any person who wants to start dating again and who is afraid of / overwhelmed by / feels defeated by the prospect of having to get on dating apps.”

Her casual, authentic approach made me feel seen and held through an experience that in the past has been discouraging at best and traumatizing at worst. After working with her I feel both encouraged and well-equipped.

How I got into this
After my own successful entrepreneurial journey, I spent the past 9 years coaching hundreds of CEOs and founders through top accelerators, universities, and venture capital firms, helping with everything from leadership challenges to investor pitches. The part I’ve always loved most is the authentic storytelling. I get a thrill from solving every “who are you?” puzzle, and then sitting back as a client embraces and shares their unique superpowers.
On the creative side, I’ve done my own personal storytelling and stand-up comedy, winning awards from The Moth and Generation Women and getting featured on the BBC. I also wrote a one-woman show about identity called 1 in a Chameleon that I performed to sold-out audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe and in New York City.
Over and over — both first- and second-hand — I have experienced the power of sharing and being witnessed. Deep down, I believe we all want to feel seen and be fully expressed, and my personal mission is to illuminate for others what’s already within. It also turns out that excellent self-expression leads to business opportunities, human connection, and yes, romance.

First, you fill out the form below, and we hop on a 15-minute call. If it’s a good fit, I send a proposed package that includes the number of sessions and the pricing.
Our session(s) will be either in person in NYC (more fun) or via Zoom/phone (more efficient). Most sessions are 1-2 hours. I’ll ask you a bunch of painless questions. You’ll realize it’s fun for someone else to ask you questions and turn your words into gold.
My contribution can range from handholding/editing to full-on ghostwriting. We may take turns holding the digital ‘pen’. You might share what you have so far, or I’ll do the first pass. We might compose live, or go off on our own to rework. I won’t give up until we feel really good about what we have.
If you choose, we might expand beyond the writing into further coaching. If there’s a live performance aspect, I’ll help you practice (I’m an experienced storyteller and group facilitator). If you’re selling services, we can go beyond positioning to define your offering and pricing (I have an extensive business background). If we make you a dating profile, maybe we’re in touch once a week to help with your momentum.

The possibilities are endless. If it feels important and personal, and if you’re stuck — I’ve got you. I’ve helped people compose resignation letters, breakup texts, and company goodbye emails (wait, is this a recurring theme?). I’m great at pitches, negotiation emails, and nuanced announcements that need to strike a particular tone. I love to help with all types of presentations and open mics including performance prep. The list goes on…

AI can be an extraordinary resource, and I’m generally a fan. But it also can be frustrating, generic, and impersonal — plus it’s limited to you knowing what to prompt. I’m offering more original and high-quality writing, a more accurate read on who you are and what you want, and a process that is more efficient, more fun, and obviously: more human. In fact, being human with humans for humans is my specialty. We’re now in an age where standing out with individuality is a differentiator among the generic slop. That said, I encourage you to try first with AI, and you might be happy enough with the results!

That’s great! Many of my clients are excellent writers, and often this helps us move more quickly (and therefore helps you spend less). What I’ve found is that even the best writers struggle when it comes to things that are core to their identity and therefore hard to see from the inside, or intimidating to surface. This might not mean much until you experience it, but the secret sauce is more in the conversation and the discovery than in the writing itself.
